Weekend Rerun 5/3-5/4

I think it was the last weekend of "normalcy" we will be experiencing for a while. Between being out of town and having some other things going on... (more on that later) it was nice to have a semi-laid back weekend.

Saturday I woke up bright and early to go do a quick visit with a client. They have the best view of the city plus the sun was shining, it was a good way to start the day. All I could think of was the song, "It's a great day to be alive...."

After a lackadaisical workout that I tried to get into but just couldn't  as well as cheese sampling at Byerly's grocery shopping, it was time to get ready for a concert. My friend offered a few months ago to take me to this concert as a "Welcome to Minneapolis" gift.  It was Sara Evans with the Swon brothers opening!

I didn't know who the Swon brothers were but after hearing their most recent, popular song "Later on" I knew right away.  They sang a few new songs too which were amazing. They were on the voice and since have been touring with Sara Evans. These guys are going to go far!

Of course Sara Evans blew it out of the water again. Her voice is unreal. She even said she was sick which is beyond believable. It was a great concert, thank you C for the gift!

Sunday morning was the day to sleep in beyond 6:30 a.m. Hallelujah! We eventually made our way to a local mall that we'd never been to, Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka. It was time to buy bridesmaids shoes for a friend's wedding taking place in July and also time to get Caribou, Tropical Green Iced Tea!

Since it was in the high 50's and sunny, that obviously meant we were going for a walk! So the pup and I got ready and went for it. It was an interesting walk though. First I find $13 in cash beneath a bench. Second we saw a white squirrel. Double firsts and  a good way to add some pep to the start of the week!

I'm feeling recharged and ready to take on the week after this weekend. It's going to be a good week y'all!

What did you do this weekend?
