I am extra thankful for this day for the chocolate but also for another special reason!
Last week I left off with saying that it marked the three year mark since the very first day I met Andrew. Also three years to this day, Valentine's Day 2010 he asked me on our first date for that night. I happily agreed. We went to PF Chang's and even though it was our first date I ate like a champ. He was a gentleman and we laughed so needless to say it was a great date and a few days later he asked me on our second one. Valentine's Day 2010 marked the beginning of Andrew and Carley.
Last night to celebrate our Valentine's day we went to PF Chang's again but this time we were celebrating our first Valentine's as a married couple! It was the whole nine-yards. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert at home.
I had the Asian Pear Mojito. I would highly recommend it.
Two orders of chicken lettuce wraps because they are that good.
Enjoyed with Crispy Honey Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Dan Dan noodles.
Followed by the Peanut M&M's I got for Andrew since they're one of his favorite candies!
This morning first thing, Andrew gave me Valentine's gifts. Let me start by saying he is the best gift giver I've ever met because he gives me the stuff I never knew I needed but end up loving. Today followed true to that with Ghiradelli chocolate, new headphones (since I lost my old ones) and my favorite sponges that make cleaning up a breeze, no joke. He knows me well. For his gift, there are some finishing touches so I don't want to disclose anything yet.
Of course, out came the pink heart shoes with a matching pink v-neck.
For tonight we are eating our one year wedding anniversary cake topper and hoping it tastes just like it did a year ago ;). We chose tonight because we will away for our actual anniversary which is next Tuesday.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Are you doing anything for Valentine's day?
