One Year Wedding Anniversary

I can't believe it's been one full year of marriage. I remember being so excited to get married and live with Andrew in our new home a year ago. We've kept busy this past year with Andrew graduating, starting his new career, me going back to school for nursing and traveling a few places. It's been fun and I've learned more than ever!

February 19, 2012 was just the beginning.

We followed the wedding festivities with a trip to Disney Land for my first time.

In May, Andrew graduated from ASU with his Bachelors degree!

At the end of June and through 4th of July we went to Minnesota for a week and visited family and friends.

In September for Andrew's golden birthday and my birthday a week earlier we went to Malibu, California for a long weekend getaway.

In November for Thanksgiving I made our first Thanksgiving dinner and we celebrated at our house.

In December we celebrated our first married Christmas and went to Seattle for Christmas and New Years to celebrate with the family.

And now here we are a year later on a ship cruising to Mexico. (That is not really our ship but a different one near it.)

I have learned more in the past year about myself than ever before. I have learned my strengths and weaknesses and how to communicate better. I have also learned how to cook and bake better and make some things at home instead of buy them. I have learned balance in eating. Living with a man who likes his food and the real deal has taught me how to balance our meals. It's a definite work in progress but it has allowed me to expand my food horizons and that one ingredient is not the be-all and end-all.

I have also learned being in the kitchen making food for the people I love makes me happy. Food is my love language. Yes I just made it one though it is not a choice in the 'Five Love Languages'. It truly is mine.

Marriage has been a blessing and I'm excited for what the future holds!
